Flat Roof Hopper – Half Round, Copper and Titanium-Zinc, With or Without Overflow
Protec manufactures a flat roof hopper (flat roof water collector) in a half-round form, available in copper and titanium-zinc. The semi-circular profile sits flush against the facade, creating a clean and harmonious appearance in combination with a round downpipe. Available in two variants: with overflow (for additional drainage safety on flat roofs) and without overflow (for a simpler, cleaner installation). Produced to order with a flexible rear downspout connection – position, shape, and size specified per project.
Application – Where to Use a Flat Roof Hopper:
The flat roof hopper half round is specifically designed for flat and low-pitch roof drainage – connecting the horizontal roof outlet to the vertical downpipe while maintaining a clean facade appearance. Particularly suited to:
- Small extensions and lean-to additions – where the drainage connection must be compact and unobtrusive
- Outbuildings and agricultural buildings – garages, sheds, barns with flat or slightly pitched roof sections
- Parapet (attika) drainage – flat roof sections of residential and commercial buildings with parapet walls
- Combined roof systems – buildings with both pitched and flat roof sections requiring matching drainage components
Two Variants – With and Without Overflow:
With Overflow:
The overflow version includes an emergency drainage outlet that activates when the primary downpipe flow is exceeded during heavy rainfall – preventing water from backing up into the flat roof drainage layer. Recommended for all flat roof installations where additional drainage safety is required.
Without Overflow (Ohne Zulauf):
A clean, simple form without overflow – suitable where overflow protection is integrated elsewhere in the roof drainage system, or for smaller roof areas with lower drainage volumes.
