Description
Jambon Downpipe Collector – Connects Two Downpipes into One, Copper and Zinc
Protec manufactures the Jambon downpipe collector (dual downpipe collector, Y-downpipe junction) – a drainage component that collects rainwater from two separate downpipes and channels it into a single downpipe. Known in France as the “cuvette de branchement” and used throughout Rheinzink and VMZINC drainage systems, the Jambon installs by simple push-fit connection – no soldering required. Available in Ø 80 mm and Ø 100 mm, in a full range of materials including copper, titanium-zinc, zinc alloys, and powder coating in any RAL colour on custom order. As a direct European manufacturer, Protec produces all Jambon collectors to order with OEM capability.
How the Jambon Collector Works:
The Jambon dual downpipe collector accepts two incoming downpipes at its upper inlets and channels the combined flow into a single outgoing downpipe at the lower outlet. It is installed wherever two separate downpipe runs must merge – at roof valleys, building corners, or where two separate roof sections drain to a single outlet point. Installation is by push-fit socket connection (emboitement), compatible with round downpipes and elbows of the corresponding diameter.
