Stabilised Hopper Head – Concave Form W-K

Description

Stabilised Hopper Head – Concave Form W-K, Copper and Titanium-Zinc

Protec manufactures a stabilised hopper head (concave form, W-K type) – the traditional-style drainage component connecting the gutter to the downpipe. The characteristic concave curved profile, known in the European roofing trade as the eingeschwungen form, provides structural stability while creating a visually distinctive silhouette primarily associated with traditional and heritage European architecture. Available in a full range of materials including copper, titanium-zinc, zinc alloys, hot-dip galvanized steel, and powder coating in any RAL colour on custom order. Emergency overflow available on request. As a direct European manufacturer, Protec produces all hopper heads to order with OEM capability.

The Stabilised Form – Traditional European Architecture:

The stabilised (concave) hopper head is one of the most established forms in European roof drainage metalwork. The inward curve in the middle section of the body is a characteristic detail of Central European traditional architecture – townhouses, rural farmhouses, manor houses, and civic buildings from the 18th century onwards. Grömo confirms the stabilised hopper is *”primarily used in traditional architecture due to its stabilised form.”* Protec manufactures this form as a direct producer with a broader material range than any competitor currently available in the European market.
