To customer drawings only. A wind deflector is specific to each ballast system - the profile geometry, hole pattern and length differ between system manufacturers. The customer supplies a technical drawing in PDF or DXF format, on the basis of which we quote and carry out serial production.
Wind deflector for PV ballast systems - OEM manufacturer. CNC bending and die stamping to customer drawing.
Your drawing, our production
A wind deflector is specific to each ballast system - there is no single universal profile. We accept technical drawings in PDF or DXF format, provide a quote and start serial production. Documentation and geometry remain the property of the customer.
Galvanised steel and Magnelis - material matched to your system
Galvanised steel (DX51D + Z275) is the standard material for wind deflectors in rooftop PV systems - service life 30-50 years, lower unit cost at high volumes. Magnelis is a zinc-magnesium-aluminium coating with 2-3 times higher corrosion resistance than standard galvanising - recommended where the deflector profile is in direct contact with aluminium PV rail profiles. We process both materials at our plant in Chroscice, Poland.
OEM subcontractor for PV ballast system manufacturers
We manufacture wind deflectors as an OEM subcontractor for companies designing and selling PV ballast systems for flat roofs. We produce series runs for systems already on the European market - a technical drawing is all we need. Certificates ISO 9001:2015 and EN 1090-2 (TÜV Rheinland).
Have a technical drawing and need a manufacturer?
Send your documentation - we quote serial production of wind deflectors and ballast system components from galvanised and Magnelis-coated sheet metal.
What materials are available for wind deflector production?
We produce from galvanised sheet steel (DX51D + Z275) and Magnelis-coated sheet (zinc-magnesium-aluminium coating). Magnelis provides 2-3 times higher corrosion resistance compared to galvanised steel of the same coating thickness - particularly recommended for systems where the wind deflector is in direct contact with aluminium PV rail profiles. Both materials are processed at our plant in Chroscice, Poland.
Does PROTEC also manufacture ballast system structural components?
Yes. In addition to wind deflectors, we produce ballast system structural components - mounting brackets, console profiles and other flat roof PV system components - to customer technical documentation. Material: Magnelis-coated or galvanised sheet metal, thickness 0.5 to 4.0 mm. Contact us with your technical drawing. More information: ballast system components manufacturer.
Does PROTEC punch or cut mounting holes in the wind deflector profile?
Yes. Holes are produced by die punching or laser cutting depending on the shape, quantity and required tolerance. We produce round holes, slotted holes and complex shapes according to the customer's technical drawing.
What dimensional tolerances apply to wind deflector production?
Production follows the dimensions and tolerances specified in the customer's drawing. Tolerances for critical dimensions are incorporated into the dimensional inspection process. Certificates ISO 9001:2015 and EN 1090-2 (TÜV Rheinland) cover the entire production process.
Do you manufacture PV ballast systems and need a component supplier?
Send your technical drawing - we quote serial production of wind deflectors and ballast system components from galvanised and Magnelis-coated sheet metal.
